I decided to do one of these ‘100 things about me’ things, which I will add to as the mood strikes.
1. I don’t drink coffee - on rare occasions I might have a short black and I could likely count how many coffees I have had in my life on two hands.
2. I live in Australia - and am a Mexican by those standards; figure that out and you will know what state I live in.
3. I have a full motorcycle license - and ride most days rain, hail or shine.
4. I love men - but I think you wear far too many clothes.
5. I don’t want to be a millionaire, just comfortable - okay, okay since millionaire doesn’t mean that much anymore I shall say I don’t want to be a billionaire.
6. My favourite flower is the tulip - their vibrant colours are breathtaking; I also enjoy jonquils for that delicate fragrance that says spring is coming and oriental lilies for their delicious perfume.
7. I have a savoury more than a sweet tooth - and pastry is my vice though I rarely eat it because it’s not good for me.
8. I have a fondness for classical literature - though I also enjoy historical novels, some fantasy novels and seem to be stuck on the JD Robb “In Death” series for a quick and enjoyable read.
9. I adore birds - they are the most beautiful of creatures and I once had an aviary.
10. I find women beautiful - we are gorgeous, no wonder you men can’t keep your eyes off us.
11. Orange flavoured chocolate is my favourite sweety thing – and I am not very good at sharing it.
12. I don’t like rollercoasters – and have never been on a very big one. They scare me and they don’t look safe. Imagine that, I ride a motorcycle every week day in heavy traffic with no qualms whatsoever but you will be hard pressed to get me on a rollercoaster.
13. I am not keen on the cold - I couldn’t live in a very cold country as I the cold seeps into my bones somehow and I find it hard to stay warm. I am not an overly fragile sort of thing, it’s just how I am. Late spring and summer are my favourite seasons.
14. I prefer savoury spreads on toast to sweet spreads - and yes I do love vegemite as well as peanut butter.
15. I love spicy food - Indian, Thai, Morrocan and know how to make a rather wicked curry myself.
16. Dragon flies scare me - they fly in such a blundering and ungainly manner I become anxious when they are near that they might fly into me.
17. I prefer neat and tidy over chaotic mess – a place for everything and everything in its place I keep an organised home.
18. I enjoy walking – it is my favourite exercise and I walk most days. I enjoy many forms of exercising but walking out in the open with the fresh air is hard to beat.
19. My favourite perfume is Chanel No.5 – I like some others but always come back to this one, it really is a timeless classic and I love the fragrance.
20. My favourite alcoholic drink is champagne - but I also enjoy beer (Stella Artois), gin and tonic, red wine (merlot), white wine (unwooded chardonnay) and the occasional contreau, yet having said that I am not a regular or big drinker.
21. I adore listening to the rain – especially when warm in bed at night with the lights out. It is so comforting.
22. I do not smoke – or at least I don’t inhale – just kidding. I used to smoke many years ago but gave it up when I found myself starting to smoke more and more. Now not at all and am happy about it too. However, I don’t mind if others do and I think banning it in pubs is going a bit far.
23. I enjoy doing puzzles – any sorts of puzzles really though my favourite is kakuro – also known as cross sums. It is a sort of mathematical crossword.
24. I have a cat - I am not going to tell you her name to protect her privacy. Seriously, she is so private, she gets uptight and snooty when I try to take her photo. She is an ordinary tabby but oh so pretty. And, she hates the vet…correction she was an angel last time I took her and sat quietly for two injections though to be fair the vet had sprayed some sort of pheromone to settle her nerves. Worked a treat.
When I add to this post I will just change the title to include how many ‘things’ there are so check back if you are interested…or add your own in the comment.
Hugs
Mina

One Thing About Me.
1. I think Mina is brilliant.
Ten Things That Separate Me From Mina.
1. I drink coffee: black and with white chocolate melted into it. Having said that I prefer Rooibos or even Green Tea.
2. I once lived in Australia, Tasmania actually. I live now in England.
3. I don’t have a motorcycle licence; Wilhelmina knows why. I drive a small car.
4. I love men, but no one man in particular. (Men love me too, but no one man in particular.)
5. Okay, so Mina and I are alike in at least one way.
(Having said that, in Australian money I am a millionaire on the current £:$ exchange rate.)
6. I favour gerberas, and roses which are not red. I also love the colour of wattle.
7. I love sweet things, (which is why I love Mina); but I love bitter things too. (Which is why I love CMH
)
8. My favourite books are recent fiction based on or set in History.
9. I don’t really have an opinion on birds, but living where I do I miss the sounds and songs of Australia’s bush.
10. I am beautiful in every single way: and I suspect Mina is too. (And yes I do know what she looks like…) I find women amazing and I bless God that He made me in His image to be who I am.
Thanks Kirstie, for playing along with me. You are tops too darling. I see you driving a mini for some reason and driving it like Charlize Theron in ‘The Italian Job’. Gerberas are gorgeous.
Pleased I was in the ’sweet’ category though I am sure CMH will having something to say about the other.
Hugs and Kisses for you.
Mina
How much Vitamin C is there in a Terry’s Chocolate Orange?
As for Charlize…that would be CMH in her Renault Clio RS. I’m embarrased to say what my car is, but it’s pretty girlie.
(Cos I’m a pretty girlie!
)
KLSE x
(not KLSEx which is RUDE!)
Dear Mina,
Nice to read this about you. I will not comment on things about me. I have my own blog for that…chuckles.
Hugs and Kisses
Janice
PS. One thing, though, my favourite flower (or should that be flowers?) is lily.
Kirstie,
Oh come on tell me what your car is, is it pink too? Aww, you are a pretty girlie, yes. Hehe, KLSEX oops sorry.
Janice,
Thanks and I don’t mind if you do, the more the merrier.
Nice to see you dear friend. Flower thing fixed, thanks. *wink*
Kirstie called this place Mina-Planet, don’t you just love it?
Hugs and Kisses for both
Mina
Roller coasters scare me too Mina, good on you for saying so.
As for point two: well done the Mexicans in the AFL tribute game this weekend. I’m not sure what you being Mexican would make me in Australian terms. Cuban perhaps?
At least you didn’t follow Paul Keating’s logic. If Australia is the arse-end of the world, then Tasmania must be…
Kirsten.
Kirstie,
Thanks sweety, we can check out the girly showbags instead.
Cuban! *giggles* Good one.
Hugs
Mina
Ooh I love the cold but only because it means I can wrap up warm. I think you are right Mina that to truly enjoy the cold you have to be well set up for it with good heating in your house and good insulation and warm clothes. I think it is better to be cold in Britain than in Australia.
I love the sun as well but I could never live in Australia because it would be too hot for me in summer.
Enjoy your winter, ha ha. Kirsten is going to Tasmania in August so she will suffer.
Love,
CMB (soon!)
CMH,
Hugs darling, trying to sap some of your summer warmth from you. I love summer, love the warmth even when it’s 35C and I’ve got to ride an hour in full motorcycle gear. This chick does NOT do shorts and tank tops whilst riding.
Kirsten in Snowbart in winter? Poor dear, she’ll have to wear her trousers then.
CMB!! I am getting very excited for you. Saturday, Saturday. *dances and hugs you*
Love
Mina
things about you:
You love motorcycling because you are one fast mama.
1) You are generous with your time and attention .
2) NO ONE has a negative or unkind word to say about you.
3) You are a talented writer in a wide variety of styles and moods.
4) You are open enough to be interesting and mysterious enough to be fascinating.
5) You are growing more complicated — or showing us more of your complicated nature.
6) You love nature because you are a Natural Woman.
7) You love birds because you are a bird of another feather.
9) You love two lips as much as you love tulips.
10) Your passion for fruited chocolate is an abomination.
11) Everyone needs at least one forgivable vice — and yours is (10) (above).
12. You have good taste in friends, and they in you.
Marcus, what lovely things to say of me, I am humbled. Thank you so very much that deserves a *hug* and a *kiss*.
Number 10, yours, made me laugh loudly – fruited chocolate – I swear I could convert you. Haigh’s orange choc buttons could delight anyone.
Kissing is gorgeous and delicious it’s true!
Thank you, kind heart.

Hello Wilhelmina,
RE: 13 I wish you a happy birthday from England where June 6th is indeed late spring, summer: not like the land where you were born (as was I) or live now.
Yes indeed I shall be in Snowbart in August, but as regards my wearing trousers what have you heard? I should certainly hope I am wearing SOMETHING below my waist…but then that’s what thick tights and long skirts are for too. I like winter because I like winter clothes: CMH is on the money there.
Marcus, as regards number 10, she also likes Vegemite apparently. Bleugh! Number 12 is spot on: Mina is lovely lovely, but then you already knew that.
God bless your D-Day, Wilhelmina WordPress.
KLSE

KLSE, I have amended my 13 to 14 to show that vegemite is yet another vice I have. Yummy! In fact crumpets and vegemite might just be in order for breakfast, thanks for the reminder.
Hugs
Mina
Bleugh!
Hehe.

1. I love coffee because my landlady is Australian and it is her religion.
2. I live in England but soon I will live in France. I should have been known as Mademoiselle Maison I should think, now I am Madame Bruin.
3. I have a motor license and I drive like a boy. A crazy boy.
4. I love Paul Brown. He’s yum.
5. I would like to have lots of money, (Euro please), but I’d rather be happy.
6. My favourite flower is the thistle. I am NOT an English Rose.
7. I love sweet things, which is why I love KLSE.
8. I am not a reader or anything artistic. I like number games and logic puzzles. I am Queen of Sudoku.
9. If I ever find that bird that shat on my Renault…
10. I am a beautiful woman, married to a beautiful man who thinks me pretty.
11. Paulie is my favourite sweetie thing!
12. I LOVE rollercoasters and stuff like that.
13. Cold? In Australia? Mina you are such a GIRL! I am Scottish and I laugh at the cold HA!
14. I like Vegemite, even if Miss Australasia (KLSE) does not.
Cherry, I’ll pass on the affiliate program thanks not interested in making money out of this. Happy to put a link in my sidebar though. Good luck.
Dazza, Strange? You? Only in the best way possible. Grins.
Madame Bruin, lovely to hear from you and thanks for joining in. Re: 8, try Kakuro, it is great fun. Re: 13, just saying ‘Scottish’ made me feel cold.
Hugs for all
Mina
15. Wilhelmina does not speak Gaelic…the other place was Psalm 67:1-3.
Missus Catherine Margaret Brown; you cheeky thing! A bientot mon amie, et bon voyage a ton maison nouvelle. (I think.)
1 and 14 made me smile, I have missed you desperately…but I still don’t get it with the Vegemite, not all black things are good, (just All Black things.)
7 made me blush.
(9 made me spray milk out of my nose.)
Oh and it is cold in Australia, desperately so. But at least Hawthorn are still playing well, and I shall be in the English summer on Saturday evening.
God bless you all…it has been the most wonderful month in Tasmania.
Kirstie: Lovingly Sending Embraces
Au revoir mes amies!
Hugs for you both.

Dobre Vecer,
(Russian in case you’re lost…no I don’t know either.)
15. I have three words for you: Thai Green Curry. My goodness me, that and a fresh pint of Guinness and I’m anyone’s for the taking.
16. I haven’t thought of natural things that scare me, but yes dragonflies are pretty stupid. I hate blowflies though, especially the Aussie ones the size of a small child; those which go buzzing into windows and then smack! I’m always scared I’ll inhale or swallow one of those, it has happened before.
Keep going lovely one, my list went to thirty-five!
Kirstacia Ellisonova
Kirstacia, good Lord you’re a Guinness girl then? Eww, I inhaled and swallowed a fly whilst walking last year. Wasn’t pleasant. Thirty five huh? Does that mean I have to go to 40?

A question if I may….are Italians stupid?

1/ Because they can not speak English and 2
2/ Because they are so thick that they only have the mental capacity to deal with 21 letters in their alphabet….
Is it me or are they daft?
LOL
Donyetska
And here I’ve just finished a novel by Dostoyevsky so how funny you should be assuming a Russian tone.
As to the Italians, can’t say for sure.

Definition of a Russian Novel: A book in which the main character sulks for nine hundred pages.
(Did you notice in my last story the girl buying a copy of “Raskolnikova”…did you get what that meant?)
Thanks for the hug via boy-favoured, sorry I’m still distant. May your return to health be blessed with abundance, or even a bun dance. (Gotta love a few dancing buns…by which I mean bakery products of course: I know where Dazza’s mind just went.)
(BTW Dazza, I’m not fat enough to be a Buddhist.)
Kirsten, Lacking Sufficient Energy
Laughs…yes there was an inordinate amount of sulking going on yet I still found it a page turner.
I missed the reference but went back and understand it now. At the time I had read 50 pages then put the book down and what with all the other ’stuff’ in life at the moment only picked it up again last week. Hadn’t read anything for about three months. Currently reading a collection of modern Australian short stories and figure on some Oscar Wilde next.
Glad you received the hug and don’t worry about the rest I am pleased you are still around and it is lovely to hear from you.

17. Tidy is as tidy does, apparently I’ve been dobbed in for my “symmetrical” biscuit tin so I shall say no more on that. Happily at work I have an orderly but full desk, and a brilliant PA who makes sure it is both of those things.
18. I absoloutely love walking…it must be an Anzac thing for us dearest Wilhelmina, (lubras going Walkabout…but we’re both pakeha!). I was able to walk some in this past week of holiday so I’m all fresh from the exercise. Lovely.
19. For such a girlie girl I’m not into perfume, although of course I have some. For me I’d rather have the ambient scent of lavender (which reminds me of home), although I’d never wear lavender perfume as that’s for women who are seventy two and not for women born in ‘72. I do use lavender soap and it’s also how my house smells. In addition I enjoy the occasional catch of Huon Pine which is a uniquely Tasmanian smell, but again that’s for the potpourri and not for the body-spray.
(I wonder dearest one, is there a link between your points nineteen and fifteen?)
Kiwi Lady Smells Exotic
(and so does Kirstie!!!!!)
Ha, yes you were ‘dobbed’ but my the symmetrical biscuits appeals to my tidy side though I doubt I would go so far.
Lavender is lovely I agree but my Chanel No.5 remains a favourite. As to the link to point 15…sniggers, didn’t think of that. Curry and Chanel…Curie by Chanel?
Hugs
Mina
My house smells like onions, isn’t that what you expect me so say?
Actually it smells like porridge.
And the biscuits are tidy because Kirstie was here last week and she organised them!
We love Kirstie, she’s the best!
Oh, we love Mina too.
15. I love home-cooked food. Paulie and I are both learning to cook and we enjoy living in our little village near Marseilles where we can buy fresh stuff French stuff at the market. Less of the garlic and more of the wine.
16. French drivers scare me especially the boys on their stupid little scooters. I am thinking if getting a big spike for the front of my Renault…
17. I like things to be find-able. Neat and orderly is good but it doesn’t have to be in the right-angle specific place. I am a Mathematical girl but I am free spirit too.
18. I enjoy walking especially when it is with Paulie or Kirstie. I would rather go for a long drive to relax but then its about the driving and not the scenery. I like to swim too.
19. I love the smell of diesel in the morning! Paulie now owes me ten euros for saying that.
You are such fun Mina, may your eyes be ever blue.
Thank you dear Catie, hugs for you, glad you could join in.
Hugs
Mina
Oh and 19 sounds suspiciously like an Apocalypse Now take off.
Hugs…again.
Mina
Many likes I share with you – walking, I walk into the town every day; birds, I have been fascinated by bird flight since boyhood; fondness for orange-flavoured chocolate (eat it with brandy or cointreau), curry (I make one every week); classical literature – a whole big bookcase full, and my favourites are the Russians, “War and Peace” is falling to pieces from so much re-reading; warm climate – that’s why I live in Philippines.
Hi Malcolm, ahh cointreau yes that is delicious too. I shall do a ‘favourite drinks’ post though I am not much of one, a drinker that is. Great to see others share my interests.
Hugs
Mina
G’day Bill,
20. I am very much a Guinness girl, and also like an Irish coffee although I would never drink whisky/whiskey on its own. I love red wine, especially pinotage and merlot; but don’t really like white wine. I don’t like girlie mixer drinks, (I’m not a mixer girlie). To my great shame I will drink beer straight from the stubby, (but not from the tinny), but only if it has a wetsuit around it. I’m a Strayan after all!
21. Yes. Oh yes in every way yes. (BTW boy-favoured likes this too, by which I mean rain and not bed. We put on our warmest clothes and our driest coats and went for a rain walk on Saturday, ooh yum! Then back to my house for Irish coffee and Bailey’s over ice-cream.)
BTW, Tasmania Day last Monday. The bouquet of blue-gum must still be in the post, yeah?
Happy Spanksgiving, (why should the Mericans get all the fun, hooray for all the “Mexicans” and the “Cubans” of this world!!)
KLSE
xx
Yes…umm…blue gum obviously lost by Australia Post. Happy Tassy Day…*hugs* and happy spanksgiving…*spanks*.
Hugs
Mina
hey you ride bikes LOL I knew I liked you, I do too…your a mex but your ok
Bonnie
Hey Bonnie, I sure do, every day. Have been thinking of selling up for a car this year but just can’t bring myself to do it. Besides free citylink travel, free parking and economical fuel just can’t be beaten. Plus, and you would know, there isn’t anything quite like it!
Yep Mex or Vic but born in NZ, though don’t hold that against me…grins.
Hugs
Mina
And what’s wrong with being born in NZ?
And yes my being a “Cuban” leads me directly in to:
22. I tried smoking when I was at University, both the brown stuff sold in shops and the green stuff…moving right along. I don’t make use of either one now and really only smoked at parties or in the pub. I used to get severly spanked for it by my boyfriend: but then I used to get severely spanked by my boyfriend anyway so what did it matter?
Oh, and I love that smoking has been banned in pubs in England, although I do feel sad for the publicans and the decline in business which the bans brought about. My local (The Duck and Firkin) is a much more pleasant place, although it is also a quieter one.
Yes…Aussie Post, that will be it. I’m presuming you’ve already posted the bouquet of wattle for Straya day then? Sorry I can’t reciprocate, but you try sending plantmaterials INTO Australia…aparently AQIS officers are allowed to spank.
(Which is why I always put a return address on the envelope; and accidentally “forgot” about that big box of Twinings in my suitcase in August.)
Kusses end stockcubes,
KLSE xx oxo
The Duck and Firkin…grins, makes me laugh every time. Ermm, yeah about that wattle…
I too feel sorry for the publicans over here but a little bird told me the law isn’t always adhered to.
Stockcubes for you too.
Hugs
Mina
23. Sums make me cross too.
24. I don’t have a cat, (but I used to have a Cate.)
Carna Hawks!!!!
KLS.LSN
I actually watched the last quarter of one AFL game, can you believe it! Essendon and somebody else, boy what a fast game. Loving the rugby at the moment and yay to the All Blacks for winning the Bledisloe Cup.
Hugs
Mina
